My name is Larissa Babiak. Based in Denver, CO, I am a skilled Multimedia Producer & Editor with over 7 years of strong early career experience in journalism production and reporting, in a variety of industries. I have extensive experience in providing comprehensive marketing and communications support.
My professional background includes working on a variety of teams with significant responsibilities, regardless of initial role size. I continually exceed expectations by building strong relationships and work well with people at all levels of the organization, including customers, leadership and team members.
I am interested in producing and creating multimedia content about history, travel, food, people and communities, social issues, policy, health and topics that require investigative skills. I am also interested in community engagement and impact production for documentaries. I am drawn to documentary filmmaking and long-form journalism because of the time and dedication that is spent covering and sharing a subject in a meaningful, accurate and complex way.
I am conscientious, dedicated and hardworking. In work settings and leadership positions, I interact with others with kindness, positivity and empathy. I am organized, dependable, a timely communicator and strive to do the best that I can in whatever I commit myself to, holding myself accountable to realistic goals and standards. I have strong multimedia, writing, social media, public speaking and interpersonal skillsets, am passionate about making an impact and serving others, and believe that everyone has a story worth telling.
I graduated in May 2019 from University of Missouri with a Bachelors in Journalism and Spanish minor, cum laude.
